Though above freezing first thing in the morning  following rain overnight 1" thick  ice still had to be broken in places.
With most of them Fishing 5metres short with  45mph windgusts blowing, wedges of ice drifted along from one end of the lake to the other causing problems for some....however Rob on peg 52 the newer side of Stepfield shared joint win with Phil who was fishing  peg 16 on the older  wood side..both with 6olb weights

After breaking ice 1/2" thick before the match could start the thaw set in with patches of sun throughout the day...  Gavin went on to fish 10 metres in front with 4ml pellet and Les had best silver net of 27lb...

Despite all lakes being frozen the guys were determined on a match and after breaking through 2" of ice on Cottage  5 to 7 metres in front of them they fished a 5 hour silver match to land mainly skimmers and roach .Bait was mainly pellet..

Though bitterly cold the sprinkling of snow turned to slush with no ice on the water.
Cliff fished 14.5metres out using 4ml pellet and feeding with micro pellets.

Although  cold and  dry today  Woods platforms were still under water and  the cost cutter moved over to Pathfield where some platforms were still undere a foot of water but more managable to fish.

Simon on peg 35 by the cafe fished long pole to the island with punched bread and 13 metres with 4ml pellet to land 75lb of carp to 7lb... the rest of his weight being made up of silvers.
Rob on peg 9 fished 6 metres with pellet and 3 metres to his right with punched bread ..while Rav on peg 7 fished close in with corn to land all carp..
Barry on peg 30 had the best silver net of 36lb
