A cold dry day with a strong wind blowing...Nick fished 16metres to the island using 6ml banded pellets feeding sparingly with 2ml micro catching all carp with the average at 3lb and a couple at 8lb .While Cliff on the end peg 40 nearest the car park which he hadn't relished at the draw fished14 1/2 metres and 16 metres using 4 ml pellet with micro feed had 47lb of carp and 20lb of F1s and John further down opposit on peg 6 coming joint 2nd fished 16metres to the islands using 6ml pellet had 50lb of F1s with 17lb of carp.

With - 5 temperatures overnight leaving ice on the lakes the weather stayed bitterly cold all day resulting in a low turn out and with a couple deciding not to stay to fish preferring to go home to watch the cricket in the warm.
After an inspection of Wood lake it was decided the far end had thinner ice so pegging was set out there for the day.
The match started later at 10.15am giving them a little extra time to break through the ice... with the match ending at 3pm...Jim on peg 32 fished 2 lines at 6 metres out fishing close to the ice... one line at 5 1/2 'depth the other 4 1/2' using 4ml pellets on the hook and feeding micro pellets with not one carp in his peg his catch were all F1s

Cliff fished 13 metres out off peg 26 feeding with 4ml pellet and 4ml on the hook catching mostly 3lb carp with 3 or 4 up to 6lb while Terry next door on 25 coming in 3rd used corn to feed and on hook at 15metres having a lengthly battle with a surprise catch of a 17lb carp. Rav 2nd on peg 18 fished 16metres with bread on hook and mico pellets for feeding while Jim on peg 32 which he hadn't relished at the draw came in 4th fishing 14 1/2 metres using 4ml pellets for hook and feeding .
Weatherwise after last weeks winds it was a welcoming mild still day although with the nights still drawing in early and so as to do the weigh in comfortably we are still fishing 10-3 .

With rain lashing down at intervals and gales gusting up to 67 mph the weathermen had got it right which accounted for such a low turn out for the match .....however using the most sheltered areas they all completed the day...
Paul fished top 3 sections using maggots and large white pellet feeding with 4ml and hemp while Jim on 29 managed to go out 6 and 15meteres using banded 4ml pellet

An overnight hard frost and very cold weather all day resulted in low weights, however with no wind Cliff out on the point at 26 was able to fish 14 .5. metres out to the island using pellet on the bottom with Rav coming a close second fishing long with maggot off of peg 4 .
